Pediatric Sports Therapy was founded in 2002 in the Newbury Park/Thousand Oaks area of Southern California by Gary Nelson, a biochemist with over 30 years experience in pharmaceuticals and nutritional supplements. He has also been a sports coach for youth Soccer, Track, Basketball and In-line Hockey. He himself suffered from both Osgood-Schlatter and Severs Diseases as an adolescent. When two of his own children contracted Osgood-Schlatter he began a search for the answer to these troubling injuries. With the help and advice of other medical professionals over the next 15 years, he developed several effective products for the treatment of both conditions.

Over the years he has helped thousands of children all over the world control pain and inflammation as well as shortening the duration of Osgood-Schlatter and Severs Diseases and such similar injuries as Ischial Apophysitis in the hip. Mr. Nelson says his greatest reward is not monetary; it is the knowledge that thousands of children have benefited from his successful search for answers to these painful and frustrating injuries.
